Created in the 1940s, this desk is a masterpiece in walnut and walnut veneer, with delicate carvings and bronze fittings. It has seven drawers, three on each side, adorned with carved metal handles. With its cabriole-style legs, it has a timeless elegance. Finally, a glass top that preserves the wood and adds another refined touch.
Marked with the Vista Alegre production number 71, this piece belonged to Augusto Ferreira Pinto Basto, managing director and production director of the factory. Today, this desk is a symbol of the legacy of Augusto Ferreira Pinto Basto and Vista Alegre. It preserves the elegance and sophistication of classic Portuguese design, reflecting an era when every detail was valued and every piece had a story to tell.
