Montepio Geral Money Box 70's/80's
In the early years of Portuguese democracy there was an urgent need to internalise a medium/long-term savings culture. In its tradition of saving, Caixa Económica Montepio Geral had (and still has) piggy banks that could be given away and, when full, opened at a branch of the institution to reinforce a saving (bank account).
This particular article belonged to a person who received it at that time and used it for that purpose.
Today there are still piggy banks, in other colours and with other finishing options. This particular one is in very good condition and perfectly functional.
Investment: 45,00
