African wood artifact
Piece for personal use by a Portuguese columnist in Angola from the end of the 19th century / beginning of the 20th century. It belonged and an element of the Portuguese low nobility that was in this former colony at that time. It was then passed on to his son-in-law who was also in Angola and returned to using this piece in his professional and leisure activities. It belonged to its private collection until the end of the 20th century and was later donated to a relative.
It is made of exotic wood (munguba or kidaba) painted by hand.
